Inspired by the legendary Dolby Type A noise reduction system famous for its encode stage high band clarity this pack recreates the musical lift engineers exploited to add presence sparkle and polish to vocals and instruments.
By capturing the unique behaviour of the high frequency dominant encode path the AnalogX 361 emulation delivers instant air without brittleness brightness without harshness and clarity without thinning the source. It is the original vocal sheen trick used on countless classic records now perfectly tuned inside Genesis.

🧬 A Brief History
The Dolby A 361 was originally designed for film and broadcast noise reduction. It used four parallel compression bands each targeting different areas of the spectrum. Engineers in major studios soon discovered that running audio through the encode stage only produced a powerful enhancement especially in the higher bands.
When the lower bands were modified or bypassed using resistor lift techniques the result was a stunning top end boost that preserved warmth while adding shimmer and definition. This became the famous Dolby Air trick. Used by engineers such as Geoff Emerick on iconic vocal sessions and adopted in studios like Abbey Road and Capitol this effect became a secret weapon for vocal presence acoustic instrument clarity and overall mix sheen.
