First introduced in 1967, the Urei 1176LN (Low Noise) Limiting Amplifier became a cornerstone of studio dynamics processing. Known for its lightning-fast attack (20 microseconds at its fastest) and bold Class A FET sound, the 1176 is famous for its ability to add both aggressive punch and subtle warmth, depending on the settings.
The 2-1176 is a modern, stereo-linked reissue of the classic dual 1176 setup. Each channel features its own input/output, attack, and release controls, preserving the integrity of the original design while allowing perfectly matched stereo tracking or dual-mono operation.
