The original LA-2A hit studios in the early '60s, delivering smooth, natural compression via its unique electro-optical design and tube-driven gain stage. Over time, engineers began chaining two units together—one to compress, the other to limit or saturate. This "stacked LA-2A" method became a go-to vocal and bass trick for achieving ultra-smooth transients, vocal shine, and that vintage-meets-modern mix glue.

We've recreated that exact chain—capturing both units working in harmony—to give you that same pro-studio weapon inside Genesis.
