🧬 A Brief History

The German Mag 2 is a cult favourite in mastering and mix rooms alike—part transient designer, part compressor, part tone box. It shapes dynamics in a way few other boxes can, with its attack-dependent response, variable saturation, and output transformer coloration.

The British Bus Transformer, meanwhile, is a modern take on classic transformer mix bus saturation, often whispered about in mastering circles. While we don’t name names, if you've ever admired the weight, authority, and iron-born sweetness of certain well-known red-knobbed mix bus devices, you’ll know exactly what this is based on. This thing glues and lifts simultaneously.
