The heart of Germanyโs legendary Mag 2 compressor is its custom iron-core transformer lovingly referred to as โEisenโ (German for iron). Known for its musical low-mid weight, gentle harmonic colour, and transient taming, the Eisen transformer is a mastering-grade tone shaper in its own right.
With Transformer Series 1.0, we stripped it down and captured it at its purest โ just the analog iron, no compression, no circuitry. This marks the first time Eisen has been profiled standalone in this level of detail, at multiple drive levels and transformer states.
