AnalogX – DIY-ME JFT Transistor Emulations (GENESIS)
Exclusive to Genesis | Modelled at 48k | Powered by our High Quality Modelling Tier | Calibrated -18 with Red Drive at 0
Class-A Grit. Studio-Grade Transistor Bite.
Introducing DIY-ME: JFT Transistor, a ferociously real set of transistor saturation emulations inspired by the sought-after JFT Class-A Transistor Colour MKII card from DIY Recording Equipment. Captured in full high definition using our flagship modelling tier, this set delivers the unmistakable Class-A solid-state crunch that plugin EQs and saturators only dream of.
🎚️ What’s Inside
This pack includes four distinct transistor profiles, each designed to offer precise tonal variations for mixing and sound design:
Use them on drums, synths, vocals, bass, or mix buses — anywhere you want authentic transistor bite with zero digital smear.
🧬 A Brief History
The JFT Class-A Transistor Colour MKII is a modern take on the beloved solid-state tone of 1970s British consoles. Designed to emulate a discrete Class-A amplifier stage, this Colour card delivers rich 2nd and 3rd order harmonics, zero feedback design, and a slightly unpredictable analog “growl” that engineers crave for tracking and mixing.
Part of the DIY ecosystem, the JFT was engineered to be modded, tweaked, and tailored — and that’s exactly what we did. We captured the real hardware across different drive levels and EQ curves to deliver the exact sound of a cranked JFT card inside your Genesis chain.
What users say about the real hardware:
💡 Why It Stands Out
These are true saturation models, not EQ curves, distortion approximations, or IRs. You’re getting sample-accurate captures of real Class-A transistor behaviour — with full phase, frequency, and harmonic character retained.
Once you’ve used these in a Genesis chain, you’ll understand why so many engineers swear by the JFT hardware.
