The original hardware, introduced in the mid-2000s, was designed to bring classic analog summing to the digital audio workstation (DAW) era. It featured 16 input channels, each equipped with level, pan, solo, and mute controls, allowing for detailed mixing and routing. Notably, it included a unique stereo width control, enabling engineers to adjust the stereo image's breadth—a feature that added a new dimension to mixing flexibility.
