This Raindirk Series III Vintage Analog Mixing Console is ex-Olympic Studios, and has an extensive history, having been used by artists including Black Sabbath, Queen, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Paul Weller, The Cure, The Clash, Blondie, John Peel and thousands more.

AnalogXAi Sampling Version 3.0:

We're proud to be releasing the first in the new series of V3 Sampling, utilising the very latest and greatest technology. We didn't think it could get any better after version 2, but Version 3 is phenomenal. Our sampling will now be in .NAM format moving forwards, but dont fear Genome will load both your older profiles and the newer ones using CODEX, so everything is cool ;-)

We meticulously sampled the desk giving you 8 different line channels both at unity gain and utilising the +5 switch on the desk. We also included Master Bus sampling and we also did 3 versions of the Raindirk desk preamp to give you a multitude of processing options including the sweet top end EQ, Low EQ and a few other useful EQ profiles..

1. Origins and Design:
   • The Raindirk Series III emerged in the late 1970s. It was designed by Cyril Jones, who owned the company. Cyril’s expertise and dedication led to the creation of some remarkable consoles.
   • Raindirk consoles were known for their open sound and gained a reputation as excellent track-laying and mixing consoles

   • The Raindirk Series III found its way into prestigious studios and was used by legendary artists and bands:
     • Olympic Studios: The Beatles, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Madonna, Motorhead, Oasis, Prince, Procol Harum, Queen, The Rolling Stones, U2, and The Who all benefited from this console’s exceptional sound.
     • Pete Townsend of The Who owned one of these consoles.
3. Legacy:
   • The Raindirk Series III left an indelible mark on the music industry. Its clean sound, headroom, and versatility made it a favorite among engineers and artists.
   • Even today, vintage Raindirk consoles are highly sought after by collectors and studios.
