AnalogX DIY-ME CTX Transformer Console Emulations (GENESIS)
Exclusive to Genesis | Modelled at 48k | Powered by our High Quality Modelling Tier | Calibrated -18 with Red Drive at 0
The Big Iron of Console Colour, Captured for the Digital World
Inspired by the legendary Cinemag transformer-based Colour module by DIYRE, the CTX is all about that rich, chunky, console-style weight that defines the golden era of analog desks. Now reimagined in .gen format, AnalogX brings you the CTX Transformer Console in all its heavy-hitting harmonic glory — with zero compromise and no plugin fluff.
🎚️ What’s Inside
This pack includes four hand-crafted high-resolution emulations of the CTX Colour module, each dialled in to reflect different intensity levels and harmonic content:
These aren't just gain stages — they're the sonic thumbprint of an era. Whether you’re fattening a snare, grounding a kick, or adding instant legitimacy to a digital mix bus, this pack delivers unapologetic transformer mojo with all the vibe and none of the noise.
🧬 A Brief History
The CTX is a core part of the modular analog saturation cards designed to slot into the 500-series Colour Palette. Designed in collaboration with Cinemag (the same company behind many famous high-end transformer designs), the CTX uses a custom input transformer and discrete circuit to impart weighty low-end, controlled saturation, and subtle HF rounding reminiscent of vintage consoles like API, Quad Eight, or early Neve modules.
Originally released in 2014 and updated to MkII in 2019, the CTX has become one of the most sought-after Colour modules for engineers wanting “that sound” — but without the cost, size, or heat of a full console. Our job? Capture that unmistakable tone in forensic detail using HQ neural profiling.
💡 Why It Stands Out
Where many transformer saturation plugins guess, we modelled.
Using our High Quality Modelling Tier, each variation was captured at 192kHz with precision tone bursts and test sweeps. The results? Saturation curves, dynamic response, and harmonic complexity that rival — and in some cases surpass — traditional software emulations. And because it runs in Genesis, you get zero latency, sample-accurate recall, and near-zero CPU usage.
Whether used subtly or pushed hard, the CTX emulations add immediate “console DNA” to sterile digital mixes.
