Introducing our AnalogX Ward Beck Vintage Console Emulations, inspired by one of the most revered pieces of analog equipment in recording history. Often referred to as the "Canadian Neve," the Ward Beck console earned this nickname due to its incredible sound quality and design, rivaling the best vintage consoles. Its beautifully musical tone owes much to the use of Jensen transformers, which deliver a distinct warmth and richness.

The Ward Beck consoles were a key player in countless studios, respected for their versatility and the classic analog sound they imparted to a wide range of recordings. These consoles provided pristine clarity while offering a bold, punchy character that could be dialed in with ease.

We’ve captured the essence of this vintage masterpiece by meticulously sampling the preamp, four line channels, and the master bus section to deliver you an authentic emulation. To ensure the finest quality, all profiles were recorded at 96kHz, preserving every nuance of the console’s original sound, improving the emulations transient response whilst also reducing aliasing.

This high-resolution approach guarantees that your audio will benefit from the detailed, transparent, yet warm and harmonically rich quality that made Ward Beck famous.

We have utilised the latest NAM modelling because we can now profile at 96k, this has brought a dramatic improvement to the NAM captures and all our new NAM profiles now are artifact free and sound absolutely fantastic, like moving from SD to HD ;-)

To maximize the performance of our parametric devices, please follow these guidelines:

1. Maintain Optimal Input Levels: Utilize the 18dBFS average rule when interfacing with Genome or BYOD to ensure the profile receives the correct level before adjusting the gain. Tools like Hornet VU can help manage your levels effectively.

1. Start with Default Gain Settings: Begin with the Genome main gain set to 0 (fully left). This starting point mirrors the associated gain parameter on your hardware. Increase the gain as needed and adjust the output level accordingly.
2. Increase the gain as needed and adjust the output level accordingly. You may need to adjust the output gain in Genome to realign low or high end balance. The process is easy once you understand how it works. With EQ it is just like analog, less is more! but as always, use you ears ;-)
