A Brief History

The AEG‑Telefunken M15, introduced in 1971, quickly became known for its exceptional transport stability—wow and flutter are so imperceptible, even seasoned engineers couldn’t tell tape from oscillator output in blind tests. Built with a robust cast‑aluminium chassis, massive servo‑controlled motors, and meticulous attention to mechanical precision, the M15 embodied over-engineered reliability—literally designed to last beyond a lifetime and now with your AnalogX digital emulations, yours's too will last a lifetime!

The refined M15A variant followed in the late ’70s, improving electronics while retaining the M15’s transport excellence, making it a studio staple across German and European mastering and broadcast environments
